Jaipur Rugs to get German Design Award

The Anthar Rug from Jaipur Rugs been chosen for distinction by the prestigious German Design Council’s German Design Award (GDA) in the product design category. The rug, from textile designer Kavita Chaudhary’s Project Error collection is a mishmash of design, accruing from a disagreement between weavers who had hand-woven it. Rather than a precisely ordered pattern, the result was a whole new design borne out of an error.
