President Droupadi Murmu Takes Holy Dip at Maha Kumbh, Offers Prayers at Sangam in Prayagraj

President Droupadi Murmu visited the Maha Kumbh Mela on Monday and took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam. After her dip, she performed puja, offered a coconut to River Ganga, and prayed to the Sun. While traveling to Sangam Ghat, CM Yogi Adityanath explained the distinct colours of the Yamuna and Ganga waters. She also fed grains to migratory Siberian birds. Murmu will offer prayers at Akshayavat and Bade Hanuman Temple. Governor Anandiben Patel and CM Adityanath welcomed her in Prayagraj. The Maha Kumbh, the world's largest spiritual gathering, runs from January 13 to February 26.
