Zomato rolls out photo cakes for Mother's Day prep. Delivery in 30 minutes, says Deepinder Goyal

Deepinder Goyal, the founder of Zomato, revealed the launch of a new feature on the food delivery platform—Photo Cakes. This innovative offering allows customers to upload their own pictures and have them transformed into customised cakes, delivered to their doorstep in about 30 minutes.

Goyal shared his personal experience with the feature, having used it to commemorate an employee’s milestone of 10 years at Zomato. Aashna, who joined the company shortly after turning 20, now co-leads the people and HR team at Zomato.

The Photo Cakes feature is currently live in select areas of Delhi NCR, with plans to expand to other cities soon. Goyal expressed gratitude to Zomato's restaurant partners for their close collaboration in making this service a reality, just in time for Mother's Day.

With Photo Cakes, customers can add a unique and meaningful touch to their special occasions, celebrating milestones, achievements, and cherished moments with delicious and personalised treats.

This is one of the many new initiatives Zomato has launced in the past few months. Their last – a green fleet aimed at delivering only vegetarian food, faced backlash on social media and was rolled back soon after.
