This practice, which can border on constructive dismissal or forced resignation, involves creating an intolerable work environment that drives employees to quit. By fostering a toxic atmosphere, employers indirectly force resignations, sparking significant concern among professionals.

A LinkedIn user recently shed light on this phenomenon, describing how it is increasingly being adopted by both large and small companies. “What is forced resignation?” the user asked, explaining that when a company cannot afford to pay an employee adequately, it may create conditions that compel the employee to resign, despite satisfactory performance. The user highlighted that this tactic is prevalent across various businesses and has adversely affected many workers.
