Uttar Pradesh judge loses phone in taxi at airport. How Mumbai Police found it

An Additional District Judge, who forgot his phone in a taxi while on a visit to Mumbai, found it due to the swift action of the Mumbai Police. The judge from Uttar Pradesh had left his phone in a taxi near the airport’s Terminal 1.

When the man realised he had forgotten the phone in the taxi, he immediately filed a complaint on the Mumbai Police website. Upon receiving the complaint, the Airport Police Station officials sprang into action and quickly traced the taxi. They also contacted the driver who later brought the phone to the police station.

The judge also lauded the quick response of the police department and thanked the officials for returning his phone safely.  A post on X shared by the official handle of the Mumbai Police featured a picture of police officers returning the phone to the man.

“An Addl. District Judge from Uttar Pradesh while visiting Mumbai forgot his phone in an online taxi near Airport Terminal 1. He lodged his complaint on the Mumbai police website. Receiving the complaint, Airport Pstn officials quickly traced the taxi & contacted the driver, who later brought the phone to the police station. The Addl. District Judge thanked all the concerned police personnel for the swift action,” read the caption of the post.
