As the country gears up to celebrate Gudi Padwa, Ugadi Festival, Telugu New Year's Day, and Sajibu Nongmapanba on Tuesday, banks will remain closed on for multiple days this week and the next. All national banks, including the State Bank of India (SBI), have five back-to-back holidays from April 9 to April 14 for Gudi Padwa, Ugadi, Telegu New Year, Bohag Bihu and Eid. April 13 is the second Saturday of the month when banks are usually shut and April 14 is a Sunday.

In some states, April 15 and 16 are also bank holidays for Bohag Bihu, and Ram Navami. Customers are advised to check with their nearest bank branches to confirm local and state holiday leaves to avoid confusion and inconvenience.
