Palampur is a quaint hill station situated in the Kangra Valley of Himachal Pradesh, India. Often referred to as the tea capital of north India, Palampur is encompassed by verdant tea plantations and offers panoramic vistas of the Dhauladhar mountain range.

The Pakistani scenes were shot in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh; some scenes have been shot in Ahmednagar, near Pune, in Maharashtra and in Indore and Mandu in Madhya Pradesh. The village scenes of the period drama have been shot in Palampur, Himachal Pradesh.

Palampur is well-connected by road to other cities in Himachal Pradesh and north India. The closest airport is Gaggal Airport in Kangra, about 20 km from Palampur. Numerous taxis and cabs are available from the airport to take you to Palampur.
