Mexico once more set out on a lightening counter attack and this time Hernandez is played through. Hummelsis trying to nick the ball off him and Hernandez is sent flying over the ball in the area. The referee sees no foul in it. Mexico have looked really dangerous on the break.

Ozil chips a ball into the box and it's flicked onto the feet of Werner who finds himself in space at the far post. The young German is a tad to slow to react as he sees his effort going flying over the crossbar. He should've rolled that into the back of the net.

The ball breaks to Hernandez who has Vela for support and just one German defender in front of him. He delays the pass and when he does play it throughthe ball is a yard to far for Vela. What a wasted opportunity that was.

Draxler comes charging in from the left and drives in his shot. Mexico manage to block the shot before it reaches the goal. Mexico are looking under immense pressure here.

Draxler tries to run past a couple of players but the ball is knocked off him. The deflection falls to Werner on the edge of the area and the striker goes down under pressure from the Mexican defenders. The referee sees no foul there though.

Germany try to build up another attack but are faced with a sea of green jerseys in front of them. Kimmich finds a yard of space and tries to fire a shot from distance but sees it flying into the stands.

Lozano receives the ball on the left side touchline and he tries to run across Kimmich but runs out of space. Both youngsters going toe-to-toe on that far side.

Plattenhardt shoots straight at Ochoa from 25 yards out. The Mexican can save those all days and gratefully collects the ball.

And we're off! Germany will be expected to take the initiative for attacking in this half and they aren't disappointing. So aren't Mexico who continue to threaten with their pace on counter attacks.

Plattenhardt's cross is a bit too long and Mexico once again break quickly. Vela makes space at the edge of the area and gets a shot in but it's just a bit wide of the German goal. Great pressure this is from Mexico.

Mexico break with pace once again but this time the ball is a bit too far for Lonzano who was running into space.

Draxlerfinds himself inside the area and he lifts the ball over one defender but cannot get his shot away. The ball breaks to Khedira who fires another volley which is blocked too. Finally a foul at the edge of the area gives Germany a great chance to equalise.

Some great link up play by Mexico in the center of the park which ends in Lozano being played through inside the area. The young winger keeps his cool and cuts in before placing a shot into the bottom left corner of the German goal leaving no chance for Neuer.
