Passion to Win, a three-part series delves into the entrepreneurial journeys and success stories of the winners of the E&Y Entrepreneur of the Year Awards 2012.

This week's episode highlights two men who have played a leading role in placing India on the global radar in the industries of manufacturing and life-sciences. First up, Onkar Singh Kanwar, who started his career with Bharat Steel Tubes and later moved on to build one of the country's most trusted tyre manufacturing companies -- Apollo Tyres. A highly spiritual man, Kanwar says it was all about doing things diligently and differently. Also read: Apollo Tyres opens global R&D centre at Netherlands Apollo Tyres has won the ‘Tyre Manufacturer of the Year Award’ at the ‘Tyre Technology International Awards for Innovation & Excellence 2013’ in Cologne in Germany. Next up, Dr Devi Prasad Shetty, the doctor who runs Narayana Hrudayalaya in Bangalore. The institution attracts patients from India, Africa, South-East Asia, Middle-East, and now increasingly from the Europe and the US. Shetty has risen way above the others in his league bringing several patients from other countries to his doorstep.
