CNBC-TV18 brings you a special show Kodak-Better Photography Wedding Photographer of the Year Awards 2011.

People often assume that it’s the bride and groom that have the toughest job with cold feet, hot whether and exhausting rituals, but all the stress is water under the bridge when it comes time to actually exchange vows except for the wedding photographer because behind every great wedding is an even greater wedding album. 
Let us see what some people from different walk of life have to say about the importance of photography.
Cindy Yoong, director, Marketing Communications (Malaysia), says that for the wedded couple wedding photography is really important, actually not just for the wedding couple I think it’s for the family as well. Obviously, wedding is a very special and intimate event in one’s life and you want to try and capture those memories and look back on them in your later years and share that with your children and family.
Nalini Kalra, general manager, Christine Valmy School, says that in India wedding photography is very important, actually even internationally, but in India more so because I think it's not just about two people, it's about two families and a lot more.
Manoharan Periasamy, director, SE Asia operations Tourism Malaysia, says that by engaging or by having these wedding photographers definitely it is going to be a life-time memory.
Better Photography Magazine is honouring these unsung heros with the Wedding Photographer of the Year Awards 2011, which is being judged across six categories Bridal Portraiture, Couple Portraiture, Family & Friends, Emotions, Behind the Scenes and Photo Series on a single wedding. The contest received over 20,000 entries from across the country, out of which only six were given the enviable task of facing off against each other in Malaysia an increasingly popular location for destination wedding.
