The Olympics in London will be very different from the Olympics that were hosted by Beijing.

For starters, the global economy is in worst shape with even the emerging markets beginning to slowdown. The eurozone is battling financial crisis and the jubilation that greeted London’s Olympic bid win 2005 has been replaced by a weary cynicism.
