PM Modi highly popular in western India: Ipsos IndiaBus Poll

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has achieved 65 percent approval rating among urban Indians and enjoys high popularity in the western zone of the country with an approval rating of 80 percent, according to the latest Ipsos IndiaBus Poll.

Breaking down the numbers, the new wave shows that 7 percent of respondents remained neutral, while 18 percent expressed disapproval and 9 percent remained undecided.

The monthly IndiaBus poll also rated Prime Minister Modi’s popularity by region. He scored highest in western India (80 percent), followed by eastern India (73 percent) and northern India (72 percent). However, in southern India, his approval rating was lower at only 31 percent.
