Reminiscing the days when he had started his business, Ratan Tata, Chairman Emeritus, Tata Sons says that everyone was convinced that Indica would fail in India. Friends distanced from me thinking I would fail in my venture, he says. Another failure came when the company had to move its Nano plant out of West Bengal. “We were orphans without a home,” he says. At that time, Chief Minister of Gujarat made all the difference by offering us a land for the company, Tata adds. With many people venturing into businesses, Tata says that India needs people who are sensitive and who do not forget misfortunes of others after succeeding. “(We) must strive to make India a better place.”Tata feels that while India has a great potential, there are very few who are grabbing the opportunities.
