Passengers flying on an IndiGo flight from Delhi to Srinagar on Monday encountered a troubled experience after the aircraft faced a severe turbulence due to bad weather, officials said on Tuesday.

A video shared on X (formerly Twitter) showed passengers on flight 6E 6125, with anxiety written all over their faces. Several travellers could be heard chanting religious hymns. A spokesperson of the airline said the flight from Delhi to Srinagar faced severe turbulent due to "inclement weather".

"The crew followed all operational protocols and the flight landed safely in Srinagar. We regret the inconvenience caused to passengers due to the inclement weather," the spokesperson added.
The video saw a lot of user comments, some of whom spoke about their experience of flying when an aircraft was struck by turbulence.

"In 2021 , I was traveling back from Bengaluru to Kashmir and saw the worst turbulence. The aeroplane just made a jump and everyone got panicked after that the continuous vibrations made the plane dance in clouds and that rain . Now I fear traveling by air," one user wrote.

Saw the worst turbulence while travelling from Riyadh to Srinagar in July 2020. It was a sunny day and the plane suddenly started plummeting down with extreme vibrations. Been travelling long distances for more than 15 years, was never that scared," another user wrote.
