Uncle Sam's helping hand: US eyes 3 of India's 100 smart cities

US Deputy Secretary of Commerce Bruce Andrews is leading a 18 company delegation to India, along with other senior officials of the Obama Administration, to show case their respective smart city related technologies to prospective buyers.

Many companies from across the world are making a beeline to India to woo local municipalities and to execute the smart city programme. To add to the race, even the Obama administration is committed to develop three Indian Smart Cities. US Deputy Secretary of Commerce Bruce Andrews is leading a 18 company delegation to India, along with other senior officials of the Obama Administration, to show case their respective smart city related technologies to prospective buyers. The US will help develop Allahabad, Ajmer and Vishakhapatnam as smart cities but US based companies are looking at the entire gamut of 100 smart cities as prospective clients.Watch video for more
