Protecting investor interest key in NSEL crisis: Mum Police

Himanshu Roy, Joint Commissioner of Police, Mumbai Police today spoke on the NSEL probe. He said, "Mumabi Police is investigating case related to NSEL. We have arrested three people so far namely Anjani Sinha, MD & CEO of National Spot Exchange Limited Amit Mukherjee and Jai Bahukhandi who were heads of business development and warehousing respectively."


Since it is a large and complex investigation, the Mumbai Policy has formed many teams and searched dozens of offices and residences and warehouses across the country, he added.
Roy said, the Mumbai Police had seized large amount of documents, digital data, hard disc, laptops etc. The analysis of all this documents and digital data is in progress. The police has also taken the help of forensic auditor and are in the process of identifying money trails in this regard, said Roy.
"We are taking this investigation forward in a logical manner and taking it to a logical conclusion," Said Roy.
He assured that Mumbai police would try and protect the interest of investors.
