The Justice Mukul Mudgal Committee on Monday submitted its final probe report on the Indian Premier League (IPL) spot-fixing case in a sealed envelope to the Supreme Court that will hear the case on November 10.
"The report has been submitted in a sealed cover. Court will decide what to do now," Justice Mudgal told reporters. "I cannot say more about the report, case will come [up for hearing] on November 10."
Justice Mudgal also refused to divulge any details of the report. "I won't comment on the content of the report, won't be able to talk about it yet," he said when asked if the report includes the names of ICC Chairman and Chennai Super Kings' co-owner N Srinivasan and Rajasthan Royals' players S Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan.
"It's a new report but connected with the preliminary report," he added.
Sreesanth, Chandila and Chavan were three prominent IPL players arrested on allegations of spot-fixing while former Chennai Super Kings' Team Principal Gurunath Meiyappan and Bollywood actor Vindoo Dara Singh were behind the bars on allegations of betting during the sixth edition of the cash-rich league.
Mudgal said the ball is now in SC's court as he has submitted his final findings. "It's not for me to be satisfied but for the Supreme Court," he said.
Justice Mudgal led the SC-appointed probe committee that also included Additional Solicitor General L Nageswara Rao, advocate Nilay Datta, Deputy DG (Narcotics Control Bureau) BB Mishra and former India captain Sourav Ganguly.
