A tourist to India was left displeased with his Air India experience after suffering a series of issues – most prominent among them being a co-passenger in his business class section invading his personal space.
Reddit user “ovijf” shared photographs of his co-passenger, seated behind him in business class, resting her feet on his armrest. One picture also shows the woman’s feet placed above the aircraft window. The Air India passenger suffered through a smelly flight with his co-passenger’s feet almost next to his face.
The incident took place on a Mumbai to Singapore Air India flight. In the comments section of his post, the tourist explained that airline staff initially refused to intervene. He was therefore forced to himself request the woman to remove her feet from his space several times. Eventually, a flight attendant also requested the woman to put her feet down – which she did, but only for five minutes.
How my Air India business class flight went.

“Asked nicely multiple times to remove their feet, but without success. I was woken up by thus lady’s toenails stabbing my arm. And the odour was horrible,” the flyer posted. “I ended up stuffing those areas with pillows and blankets and my backpack pushed against it,” he added in the comments section.
This was not the only issue he faced on the flight. The tourist to India said he took 69 flight over the last one year, and this Air India flight was the worst.
Not only did he have to travel with a co-passenger’s smelly feet in his personal space, his seat was broken and the in-flight entertainment did not work. All in all, he was left surprised by the filth and broken state of Air India.
“I travelled 160.000kms last year on 69 (hehe) flights and this was the most disgusting one. Also surprised by the filthiness and broken state of Air India. No working in-flight entertainment, no recline in business class as this was broken, narrow body on a +5h flight,” he said.
This is the latest in a long line of complaints against Air India. In the last few months, several flyers have complained about broken seats on their flights as well as the state of the aircraft. Many, like this Reddit user, have said their in-flight entertainment did not work and the aircraft itself was filthy when they travelled.
