A 'tape-inspired' bracelet is Balenciaga's latest creation and the internet has thoughts

Luxury fashion brand Balenciaga has come up with its latest creation and like most of the times, it has sparked a flurry of reactions on social media. Well, the product in question is a bracelet that looks like tape. The accessory also bears the iconic Balenciaga logo.

The tape-inspired bracelet debuted earlier this month at the Paris Fashion Week’s Fall/Winter 2024 collection. The product, however, has baffled netizens and triggered a plethora of reactions on social media, especially on X. The price tag on the accessory was a topic of discussion as well because according to fashion influencers it retails for $4,400 (Rs 3,66,834 approximately).

“There is no marketing strategy that beats brand image! The way you position your brand really speaks a lot about what you sell. This newly released bracelet from Balenciaga would be considered a trash or just the regular tape if it were a regular business!” one user wrote.

Another user commented, “The luxury fashion house Balenciaga has once again sparked debate with its latest accessory, a bracelet designed to resemble a roll of clear tape, complete with the brand's logo and a hefty price tag of approximately $4,000! This is just insane.”
