We’ve been keeping tabs on Xiaomi’s first big flagship reveal for 2024. The Xiaomi 14 series consolidates the brand’s partnership with Leica in the imaging space. Here are the highlights of the Xiaomi 14 and the Xiaomi 14 Ultra:
Xiaomi 14 Ultra: It seeks inspiration from professional camera aesthetics with its distinctive circular camera module and a streamlined flat back design. It features a professional 50MP quad-camera setup with focal lengths ranging from 12mm ultra-wide, 23mm primary, 75mm telephoto to the 120mm periscope lens. The Xiaomi 14 Ultra supports 8K shooting on all four cameras. We dig the unibody metal structure and the nano-tech Vegan Leather that adds a premium vibe. The other highlight is the 6.73-inch display that hits a peak brightness of 3,000 nits.
Xiaomi 14: It flaunts an immersive 6.36-inch display with an ultra-thin bezel and an in-display fingerprint scanner. The 3D curved back, is available in Jade Green, Black and White. The Xiaomi 14 features the latest technology in terms of optics with Summilux lenses Co-Engineered by Leica. The primary ƒ/1.6 lens is mated to a custom Light Fusion 900. It also features two other 50MP sensors on the 14mm Ultra-wide and 75mm Telephoto lens, the latter of which is also capable of capturing super macros courtesy the floating telephoto lens module.
Both the Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Xiaomi 14 are powered by the leading Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform and run Xiaomi HyperOS, which allows for more personalisation. Both devices come with Xiaomi's Surge battery management system, for optimised battery performance. Xiaomi 14 Ultra comes with a larger 5000mAh battery, coupled with a 90W HyperCharge for rapid wired charging and 80W wireless HyperCharge. The Xiaomi 14 is kitted with a 4610mAh battery, supported by a 90W HyperCharge for fast wired charging and a 50W wireless HyperCharge.
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra (16GB/512GB) costs Rs 99,999 while the Xiaomi 14 will be available in the 12GB + 512 GB variant for a Net Effective Price of Rs 59,999 by availing Rs 5,000 discount on select credit cards.
