The pesky GIF animations on Google+ are bound to be one of the reasons you might hate Google+ so much. Now, Google has added an ignore and block feature on their service so you don’t have to see those posts anymore. The ignore feature is a little less aggressive than the block feature, which completely hides all posts that the person posts and it also hides all your posts from them. The ignore and block features are being implemented across all sections of Google+ right from the notifications page to the profile pages of contacts. The ignore feature is somewhat similar to Facebook’s Hide post feature.

Enhancements continue to flow into Google+

Google+ has gained popularity but is still to reach the same level of acceptance as Facebook. Google has been hard at work adding features and making improvements to its social networking site. Some of the recent additions have been improved integration with Gmail and Youtube. With features that allow improved privacy and the option to block users, it should hopefully make a lot of people happy. Without the ignore and block feature, the service has been open to abuse as users tend to spam posts with animations and images.
