American space agency NASA, in collaboration with aerospace major Lockheed Martin, recently unveiled its X-59 'quiet' supersonic aircraft. The airplane, dubbed as a "one-of-a-kind" experiment, holds the potential to change the way we travel, a top NASA official said.

The aircraft will cut down the travel time, as it is faster than the speed of sound. At the same time, it has been labelled as 'quiet' as it makes a comparatively lesser sound as compared to erstwhile supersonic aircraft whose operations have been restricted by aviation regulators due to the sound they generate.
