In Pics | BEST inaugurates its first electric, air-conditioned, double-decker bus

The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking (BEST) inaugurated India's first electric air-conditioned (AC) double-decker bus on Monday, January 13.

The General Manager of BEST commented on the occasion. "It's part of our clean & green mobility initiative. 200 such buses will be introduced. It will be made available to the public soon," he said. Image Credits: ANI

The bus is a Switch EiV 22 and has been manufactured by Switch Mobility, which is the electric vehicle-making subsidiary of the widely recognised brand, Ashok Leyland.
