Midcap 11: Stocks that innovation funds love to hold

Innovation theme is one of the newest areas that mutual fund companies love to present with new fund offers (NFO). There are 11 innovation-based schemes and six of them were launched in the span of last one year. The latest one in offer is SBI Innovative Opportunities Fund, where the NFO is open for bids until August 12. Eight schemes are investing predominantly in the Indian companies. They try to identify companies across sectors that use innovation to enhance productivity, are involved in emerging technologies and disrupting businesses like e-commerce, fintech, renewable energy, AI, EVs, data analytics and cloud computing.
