Hours after a group of Khalistani separatists attacked 'devotees' near a Hindu Sabha Temple in Brampton, Canada, Candaian journalist Daniel Bordman, warned that India-Canada ties may deteriorate further with a year remaining in Justin Trudeau's prime ministerial tenure.

The journalist has been vocal about the growing distrust between the two countries. Earlier in October, Bordman pointed to a growing loss of trust in PM Justin Trudeau's credibility and leadership. "There are elements within the Khalistani apparatus, they are all over this... The Khalistani elements are in full attack mode. They are taking this as a total victory and slamming India," he told ANI in October.

Bordman categorically stated that the current state of India-Canada relations has been put on hold by the Indian government until there is a change in leadership in Canada.

The attack by the separatist group reportedly came after a protest turned violent in Brampton. According to a video, a group of Khalistani extremists held a protest that was met with a counter-protest by a group displaying Indian flags in opposition to the extremists' ideology. Tensions quickly escalated, resulting in violent clashes between the two groups.
