The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), on Monday, expelled 27 leaders, including two sitting MLAs, four former legislators, and one former MLC, for alleged anti-party activities and “defying the organisation’s ideology” ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections.

In an official statement, RJD state president Mangani Lal Mandal said the disciplinary action included suspension from the party’s primary membership.
