In his address, the prime minister spoke about the novel coronavirus pandemic, lockdown extension, Cylone Amphan's impact and the recent locust attack.

Yesterday, on the first anniversary of its second term of the Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre, the prime minister wrote a letter to highlight the achievements of his government.
PM Modi also reiterated the country's resolve in combating the COVID-19 outbreak.
Unlock 1.0 | Offer 'work-from-home' as far as possible, says MHA
While there will be a phase-wise lifting of the lockdown across the country (except containment zones), the MHA in its guidelines has said that work-from-home should be offered as far as possible.
"Staggering of work/business hours will be followed in offices, workplaces, shops, markets and industrial & commercial establishments," said the MHA circular.
Yesterday, the Home Ministry had put out details of activities that will be allowed to restartin a phased manner over the next month. Lockdown 4.0 is scheduled to end tonight.
