Electronics City Metro

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Sunday afternoon, inaugurated Bengaluru Metro’s 19-km Yellow Line between RV Road and Bommasandra, which connects Electronics City.

He flagged off the line and took a Metro ride from RV Road (Ragigudda) to Electronics City station.

Modi also interacted with students on board the Metro, while BJP cadres gathered at stations to welcome him and chant in his support. Cultural performances were held at several stations. Modi also interacted with women Metro staff and others.

The Yellow Line, part of the Phase-2 project, has 16 stations and has been built at a cost of around Rs 7,160 crore. With the opening of the Yellow Line, the operational metro network in Bengaluru will increase to 96 km.
