Patna Sahib is one of the 243 assembly constituencies in Bihar which will go to polls in the first phase on November 6.

It is the birthplace of the 10th Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh, and one of the five Takhts of the Sikh community. The Patna Sahib assembly constituency was established in 2008 following a delimitation exercise.

It is a general seat and one of the six assembly segments under the Patna Sahib Lok Sabha constituency. Earlier, it was known as the Patna East assembly constituency, which existed from 1957 until its abolition in 2008. It also serves as the home constituency of Bihar’s capital, Patna. The Patna Sahib Assembly constituency is part of the Patna Sahib Lok Sabha constituency, which includes other areas like Bakhtiarpur, Digha, Bankipur, Kumhrar, Fatuha.

Muslims cover 17 percent of the electorate. There are a total of 3,88,369 registered voters on the electoral rolls for the 2025 Assembly election in Patna Sahib Assembly constituency. Of these voters, there are 2,02,170 males, 1,86,175 and 24 of the third gender.
