IMC 2025: PM Modi to kick off Asia's largest mobile and media event today

India Mobile Congress (IMC), Asia's largest telecom, media and technology event, is set to kick off with Prime Minister Narendra Modi set to open the 9th edition of the event on October 8 at New Delhi's Yashobhoomi convention centre.

The mega tech event will be held from 8th October to 11th October with the theme of "Innovate to Transform", showcasing India's commitment to leveraging innovation for digital transformation and societal progress. IMC 2025 is being organised jointly by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), a statement by the Prime Minister's Office said.

Latest technology advancements in telecom and emerging technologies will be on display at the India Mobile Congress, and bring together global leaders, policymakers, industry experts and innovators. The event is set to include a wide variety of themes that encompass India's strength in the global technological leadership.

"The event will focus on key themes including Optical Communications, Semiconductors in Telecom, Quantum Communications, 6G, and Fraud Risk Indicators, reflecting India's strategic priorities in next-generation connectivity, digital sovereignty, cyber fraud prevention, and global technology leadership," the release said.
