IAF, Navy set to place mega BrahMos orders after Operation Sindoor success

Following successful precision strikes against Pakistan during Operation Sindoor, India has decided to ramp up procurement of BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles for its armed forces.

BrahMos, the missile system developed jointly by India and Russia, played a decisive role in targeting Pakistani military infrastructure during the four-day conflict in May.

Top defence sources told ANI that the defence ministry is expected to soon clear large-scale orders for the missile system during its coming high-level meeting.

The procurements will equip both the Indian Navy and the Indian Air Force (IAF) with the latest variants of BrahMos.
