Saashtaang dandvat pranam is a ritual wherein a person fully bows down on the ground.

In 2020, after laying the foundation stone of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, PM Modi did a dandvat pranam.
2023: New Parliament building inauguration
After inaugurating the new Parliament building in the heart of Delhi on May 28 last year, PM Modi installed the sengol and did the dandvat pranaam.

2014: Before Parliament
After being elected as Prime Minister, Modi bowed down in front of the Parliament.
Modi, who led the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ rituals at the Ram Temple said that the consecration was an extraordinary moment that would make everyone full of emotions.

The construction of the Ram temple began in 2020 after Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone on August 5. The construction started after the Supreme Court in 2019 handed over the disputed 2.77-acre site in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya town to the Hindu side for the temple construction and ordered a separate site for a mosque.
