Cabinet approves changes in proposed Motor Bill

The Cabinet today approved amendments in the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill, 2016.

The Cabinet today approved amendments in the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Bill, 2016.

The bill was introduced in the Lok Sabha on August 9, 2016 and was referred to Departmental Standing Committee on Transport, Tourism and Culture, headed by Mukul Roy.

The Cabinet has endorsed nearly all the suggestions made by the Standing committee, Road Transport & Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said.

The bill is likely to be tabled in Parliament next week, the minister said.
