Ayodhya’s Ramayana-themed Wax Museum to open this Deepotsav: All you need to know

Nearly 50 lifelike statues, Ram-Setu recreation, and interactive displays to make the epic come alive.

Ayodhya, the city already at the heart of India’s spiritual map, is set to welcome a grand Ramayana-themed wax museum during Deepotsav 2025. The 10,000 square feet museum, being built on the Parikrama Path of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir, will feature nearly 50 lifelike statues of characters from the Ramayana and immersive recreations of iconic episodes.

The project, spearheaded by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has so far seen an investment of nearly Rs 7.5 crore, officials said.

What the museum will showcase

The wax museum will feature statues of Lord Ram, Mata Sita, Lakshman, Lord Hanuman, Sugriv, Jatayu, and other key characters from the epic. Each figure is being crafted with intricate expressions, authentic costumes, and historical accuracy, making them appear lifelike.
