76th Constitution Day: President Murmu releases Indian Constitution in Kashmiri for the first time

The digital editions of the Constitution were released in Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Punjabi, Bodo, Kashmiri, Telugu, Odia, and Assamese, expanding access for speakers of regional languages across the country.

The event was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice President CP Radhakrishnan, Union Ministers including Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Kiren Rijiju, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, and opposition leaders such as Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi.

President Droupadi Murmu, on Wednesday, released the Constitution of India in nine languages, including Kashmiri, making it officially accessible in the language for the first time. The launch, part of the nation’s 76th Constitution Day celebrations, was held at Samvidhan Sadan, the former Parliament building in New Delhi.

President Murmu also led the reading of the Preamble, hailing the core principles of democracy, justice, and equality.
