Panic gripped a village when two children were allegedly burnt alive by unknown miscreants who broke into their home in Patna's Janipur area.
The children, identified as Anjali and Ansh, had just returned home from school when the incident took place. The children’s parents, Shobha Devi and Lalan Kumar Gupta, both work as security guards at the hospital, according to a report by News18.

A video from the incident site has surfaced which showed the burnt body of the child on a bed, with a cloth covering its face. Their mother sat next to her son's body at the entrance of her house, crying, while neighbours consoled her.
Meanwhile, the entire locality is in a state of shock. The residents of the locality have expressed their widespread outrage over the incident with the victim’s family strongly criticising the administration for its negligence.
The recent incident took place amid rising criminal cases in Bihar. Incidents like murders and rapes are on a rise with opposition leaders training guns at the ruling party over the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.
