Business Wire IndiaVirtual Reality is the most power medium of visual communication, more powerful than audio and video, as it activates all the senses of a viewer and transports them into a virtual world. There are multiple ways in which Virtual Reality can revolutionize marketing, education, sales and more.

Somany Ceramics Limited is the first company in the Indian Ceramic Tile Industry to launch its 3D Tile Visualizer in VR. The launch of this advanced tile visualizer took place at ET ACETECH Exhibition (India's largest exhibition dedicated to the construction, building and interiors sectors) in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from the 15th to 18th of December ’16.Customers can now visit Somany Ceramics Experience Centre in Connaught Place, New Delhi to experience the VR.

Through interaction with customers, Somany Ceramics understood the process of buying and realized there were multiple problems to be solved, not just the visualization of homes - How do we create consumers’ homes? How do we bring all product inventories to one shop? How do we manage different sizes and shapes of tiles?

The Somany team created a real time room planner which allows consumers to create their house layout with the help of a touch screen to feed in dimensions, furnish it with a vast furniture library and even make it look like their home with small details like wall colors, doors, color lights etc. The layout is created in a real life like scale and then tiles can be visualized on floors and walls. The tile dynamically adapts to the size so that you have your house created on a 3D screen before you buy them. The entire inventory can be viewed on the visualizer, which means consumers can also visualize their home with tiles that are not available in the store.
