Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not new to breaking security protocols. Be it Independence Day or Republic Day celebrations, PM Modi has often broken the stringent security protocols to connect with people. On Sunday, PM Modi’s desire to connect with people was at display once again when he broke the protocol at a PUSA event and held umbrella for farmers.

Even as the officials requested the PM to cancel the interaction due to heavy downpour, Modi insisted that he would interact with farmers despite bead weather.

As soon as the PUSA event began, it started raining heavily. When it came to holding umbrellas, PM told security that he would hold his umbrella himself. In fact, he also offered to hold umbrella for farmers as well.

The Prime Minister was interacting with farmers at the launch of 109 climate-resilient, high-yielding varieties of crops. He recalled the iconic phrase "Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan" coined by Lal Bahadur Shastriji and the subsequent addition of "Jai Vigyan" by Atal Bihar Vajpayee.
