Parag Thakkar of HDFC Securities told CNBC-TV18, "We have been bullish on Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company or basically NBFC space who are financiers to commercial vehicles and Tube Investment holds 50 percent stake in Chola Investment. So, Tube is a value buy where Chola's market cap has now crossed Rs 10,000 crore and Tube holds 50 percent stake in it. Tube Investments of India's market cap is just closer to Rs 7,000 crore and nearly 74 percent stake in Chola MS General Insurance. They have 70 percent stake in Shanti Gears and standalone business which is around Rs 3,800 crore top line and Rs 330 crore EBITDA. So, we see a lot of value and some of these parts can become really big."
On Tuesday, Tube Investments of India closed at Rs 391.00, up Rs 16.85, or 4.50 percent. It has touched an intraday high of Rs 394.95 and an intraday low of Rs 375.75.
