Akshata Deshmukh of Trading Networth Stock Broking told CNBC-TV18, "The short-term worry of non-performing assets (NPAs) is definitely going to be worrisome sign for most of the public sector undertaking (PSU) banks. So it is completely avoidable for the time being until we see a turnaround happening in the PSU banking segment especially the midcap banks."
She further added, "I would strongly recommend a largecap bank like an ICICI Bank, private banks are much more preferred right now. Maybe one can even take a look at YES Bank for that matter, both these banks have a potential to give return in the range of 10-15 percent over the next six-eight months. So private banks are much more preferred."
