R Sreesankar, Head-Institutional Equities at Prabhudas Lilladher told CNBC-TV18, "In midcap universe, we still like YES Bank, Glenmark Pharma, Cummins India, Ashok Leyland and Ashoka Buildcon. In the cement we have JK Lakshmi Cement. In that IT pack, we like Persistent Systems at these levels. These are all part of our top-picks from the midcap space."
At 13:48 hrs Persistent Systems was quoting at Rs 609.70, up Rs 8.35, or 1.39 percent. It has touched an intraday high of Rs 614.50 and an intraday low of Rs 603.80.
