Jain Irrigation wins Rs 189-cr irrigation project; share up 1%

Moneycontrol NewsShares of Jain Irrigation Systems added 1.5 percent intraday Wednesday on order win for development of micro-irrigation systems network.The company has secured an order worth Rs 189.02 crore for delivering water at farmer’s field through creation of water infrastructure and making it available to the farmer to deploy using micro irrigation systems in their respective farms.The company has received the said order under Indira Gandhi Nahar project, Rajasthan and to be completed over 18 months.Under this project the company will cover 1.11 lakh acre of land, covering 15000 farmers of 20 villages of Hanumangarh district of Rajasthan.The company has already successfully commissioned many micro irrigation projects on turnkey basis in the state of Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh and others.At 09:51 hrs Jain Irrigation Systems was quoting at Rs 92.40, up Rs 1.15, or 1.26 percent on the BSE.Posted by Rakesh Patil
