Avinash Gorakshakar, Market Expert told CNBC-TV18, "Today's numbers of Colgate Palmolive would give some indication as to how the company has performed in Q3, which incidentally was a very challenging quarter. But I would presume that looking at the kind of positioning Colgate Palmolive (India) has and the kind of new product launches it had made to counter rivals like Patanjali I would presume that as long as the volume growth is about 6-7 percent and margins are retained because clearly we have seen increased advertisement expenditure being put up by Colgate to counter Patanjali. So, in the short-term there could be some margin pressure for Colgate but overall looking at the structure of business and the kind of leadership that it enjoys in the toothpaste segment I will presume that if the investor has got a 12-18 months kind of time line one should hold on.""This is a blue chip which I think one should look at accumulating on every decline and in terms of dividend and in terms of return on equities, I think this company has done remarkably well. So, one should hold on, I think there is nothing to worry but in the short-term there could be some margin pressure and the stock could remain a little bit of volatile," he added.
