Exide, Finolex Cables, Havells should benefit from GST: Equirus

Pankaj Sharma of Equirus Securities told CNBC-TV18, "Goods & Service Tax (GST) is a great structural reform and very good long-term thing, in the near-term let us see how it plays out. In terms of our stock picks we think that the key beneficiaries would include stocks like Exide Industries, we also have Finolex Cables which should benefit. We also have Britannia Industries." "There are couple of other stocks where we fundamentally are not positive but we think that it could be a great benefit for them as far as GST is concerned like Hero MotoCorp. So, Hero MotorCorp would be one stock where we think that there could be benefit. Similarly is Havells India, so there are four and five key plays on GST which we are highlighting to our clients at this point," he said."Finolex Cabes and Havells India are the companies which will benefit from GST. It will be helpful from GST prespective and that will also be helpful from infrastructure and capital goods space but not definately in the league of consumer goods or may be logistics player and auto companies."
