Invest in telecom sector, says Sangeeta Purushottam, Professional Investor.

Purushottam told CNBC-TV18, "I think telecom is bottoming out, so that is a sector which over the next one-two years could be a potential outperformer. We still have some regulatory uncertainty left till the next round of auctions gets completed but a lot of it is in the price, its known and the fact that there is likely to be consolidation in the sector and the number of players reducing, the concerns on competition are coming down.”
She further added, “I think it creates a scenario where you could possibly see tariff revisions upwards happening over the course of the next year, which would be very positive for the larger players. So telecom is an interesting sector. It does merit investment at these levels."
