State Bank of India (SBI) is remains pick, says Tirthankar Patnaik, EVP - Institutional Sales, Religare Capital Markets.
Patnaik told CNBC-TV18, "From PSU banks we like Dena Bank and Bank of India. Bank of Baroda is reporting today, we also like that stock and State Bank of India remains our pick."
SBI touched its 52-week high Rs 2,550 and 52-week low Rs 1,846.95 on 10 January, 2013 and 16 May, 2012, respectively. Currently, it is trading 6.16% below its 52-week high and 29.56% above its 52-week low. Market capitalisation stands at Rs 160,581.13 crore.
SBI's trailing 12-month (TTM) EPS was at Rs 130.15 per share. (Sep, 2012). The stock's price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio was 18.39. The latest book value of the company is Rs 1251.05 per share. At current value, the price-to-book value of the company was 1.91. The dividend yield of the company was 1.46%.
