Table Space founder Amit Banerji passes away at 45

Banerji’s sudden passing follows a series of tragic losses in the startup community.

Amit Banerji, founder, chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of Table Space, a workspace solutions provider, has passed away, the company said on January 6. The immediate cause of his death remains unknown, although a few media reports suspected he had a heart attack.

“It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Amit Banerji, our Founder, Chairman, and CEO. Amit was a visionary leader who transformed the flexible workspace solution industry in India, Amit's leadership built Table Space into what it is today,” a company spokesperson said.

His impact on the company, its people and the industry will be lasting, and he will be profoundly missed by his family, friends and partners. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family during this difficult time.”

Banerji, who was around 45-years-old, founded Table Space in September 2017. The company is a managed workspace provider that caters to large and mid-market tenants looking for workspaces for long periods.
