Ola Electric’s Chief Marketing Officer, Anshul Khandelwal, and Chief Technology Officer, Suvonil Chatterjee, have stepped down from their roles, just months after the company undertook a major reorganisation, sources told Moneycontrol.
Chatterjee joined the company six years ago as Head of Design and was pivotal in developing key products, including Ola Krutrim and Ola Maps. In 2021, he was promoted to Chief Technology and Product Officer.
Khandelwal, who joined the company in 2019, previously served as Head of Marketing and Revenue at Foodpanda, which Ola acquired in 2020. He later took on the role of Head of Marketing at Ola Foods and steadily rose through the ranks to become the Chief Marketing Officer of Ola Electric.
Ola Electric did not comment on the exits.
Ola Electric had seen the exit of its co-founder and former chief technology officer, Ankit Bhati, in 2019. Earlier this year, the company also lost Pramendra Tomar, its company secretary and compliance officer. In the mid of December, Ola Group's chief people officer N Balachandar also exited the firm.
In November of 2024, Ola Electric announced a major restructuring exercise that affected at least 500 employees. The firm undertook two restructuring exercise in September of 2022 ahead of its IPO where it announced raft of new hires, in a bid to centralise and unify operations across verticals.
The exits come just two days after the firm announced a major expansion of its retail and service network, growing from 800 to 4,000 stores across India.
Ola Electric, on November 8, said its net loss narrowed in second quarter, helped by a jump in sales and lower raw material costs. The Bengaluru-based company said its consolidated loss narrowed to Rs 495 crore in the July-September quarter from Rs 524 crore a year earlier.
The electric vehicle maker clocked a consolidated revenue of Rs 1,214 crore, which went up by around 39% year-on-year from Rs 873 crore in the year-ago period.
