On February 4, Krutrim will reveal details about its AI lab, state-of-the-art (SOTA) models, and open-source contributions.

Krutrim, an AI startup launched by Ola's founder Bhavish Aggarwal, has deployed DeepSeek’s advanced AI models on its domestic servers, a move aimed to enhance data privacy and to reduce the cost of training AI models.

"India can’t be left behind in AI," Aggarwal told on X on January 31. "As a first step, our cloud now has DeepSeek models live, hosted on Indian servers, with the lowest pricing in the world."

By hosting these models locally, Krutrim ensures that sensitive data remains within the country, addressing concerns about privacy and security. Additionally, running AI on domestic infrastructure helps slash operational costs, making advanced AI more accessible to Indian businesses and developers.
