The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is planning to launch another scheme to sell residential plots in the upcoming festive season, following a favourable response to earlier schemes.
According to officials, the Authority will launch a new residential plot scheme of about 2,000 land parcels on the occasion of the Navratri festival. These plots will be in the smaller size category and target mid-income group buyers.
Yamuna Authority CEO Arun Vir Singh said that the Authority’s previous residential plot schemes received a good response, however, there were many people who could not opt for it so another scheme was planned.
“We have planned to launch around 4,000 residential plots through our schemes. These will be smaller plots with sizes likely to range between 120 square metres (sq m) and 162 sq m,” Singh said.
A YEIDA official said that 2,000 of the total 4,000 plots will be launched in the Navratri festive season.
The scheme
The new residential plot scheme will be brought in the sectors located near the Noida International Airport, the official added. The Authority has also started the process of registering this scheme with the Uttar Pradesh Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UPRERA).
Officials said these plots will be allotted through a lucky draw. The allotment rate is likely to be around Rs 25,900 per sq m. If allotted at this rate, the smallest 120 sq m plot will cost around Rs 31.08 lakh while the 162 sq m plot around Rs 41.95 lakh.
The YEIDA had in July 2024 launched a scheme for 361 residential plots in sectors 16, 18, 20 and 22D. The Authority will conduct the lucky draw for the 361 residential plots on October 10.
Over 2.4 lakh people had registered for 1,184 residential plots in the YEIDA residential plot scheme that closed on September 4, 2023.
